Made in America

Dwell shared some if its favorite products and the people behind them in the Made in America issue. Dwell interviewed Marvin assembler John Shade on the manufacturing floor. Shade explained what drew him to Marvin. "I found out it is a family-owned company and a people-oriented company," Shade said. "I really dig that."

He also talked about the Skycove unit he was working on during the interview. Skycove is a pre-assembled window seat that’s "not just a window, it’s a structure." The unit can add up to 20 square feet of usable space to a home.
